The Untermoserhof Estate is located in an idyllic setting in the heart of the St. Magdalena vineyards near Bolzano. The first written reference to the winery dates back to 1630, and it has now been managed by the Ramoser - family for four generations. We set great store on the use of natural methods in order to create elegant, authentic, top quality wines that express their varietal.
Our family-run winery is concentrated on the two native South Tyrolean varieties Schiava (Santa Maddalena) and Lagrein. The vineyards in the Santa Maddalena area offer ideal climatic and pedologic conditions for them. In addition, small quantities of Chardonnay and Merlot are cultivated, which grow in a slightly cooler vineyard, characterized by very clayey soils.
